Why is the default band for the MG not the standard black obsidian like the 5.0 and 4.0 before it? Why make this change for the MG only? It makes the assumption that users of the highest end device want a different look, with chrome, that’s flashier and less discreet. It essentially forces a lot of users, who are already wearing a whoop 4.0, and have gotten used to the black obsidian band, to pay another $49 on top of the hefty price tag of the MG.
The black obsidian band for the MG is already sold out and it was announced just yesterday, so I’m guessing I’m not the only one who wants that band, and probably not the only person frustrated that they needed to buy it.

Thanks for your feedback. With WHOOP MG, we wanted to offer a more elevated look through our premium SuperKnit Luxe band. That said, we know many members love the classic Obsidian — it sold out quickly but will be back in stock shortly. Appreciate you reaching out and sharing your thoughts!
Wondering if this was based on user feedback? Thinking logically…Black on chrome comes included and the black on black band sold out on day one. It’s hard to imagine people really want to own two black bands right? The data tells the story here…which likely includes a lot of frustrated customers. Asking us to upgrade and in the same sentence forcing us to buy an accessory because that’s what we’ve grown accustomed to. This is a poor product choice, I hope you guys strongly consider switching the default back.

I absolutely HATE this chrome band. Please release the black already.
