I was on a free trial for the Peak membership. I was told that if I upgraded my membership before the trial ended, I would receive the Whoop 5.0. ‘’ Hi Marina,
That’s correct—if you don’t upgrade before June 23 and simply let your trial convert, you’ll keep using your current WHOOP 4.0 while your membership rolls into a paid WHOOP Peak plan.
Here’s what that means: • Your 4.0 will still track all Peak-level insights (Sleep, Strain, Recovery, plus upcoming Healthspan and Pace of Aging once they launch on 4.0).
• The Upgrade banner in the app stays available. You can extend your membership by 12 months (£229) at any time to get a WHOOP 5.0 shipped free.
• If you’d rather wait, a one-time upgrade fee option will appear later in your paid membership (pricing varies by region), and you can upgrade then.
• Whenever you do upgrade, you can upcycle your 4.0 to your partner for a 2-month free trial—those steps won’t change.
So there’s no rush—enjoy your 4.0 and upgrade whenever it suits you.

What happens next • A separate email is generated as soon as the free WHOOP 5.0 upgrade order is created.
• That email contains your new order number and an “Order Status” link. Tracking details then appear 24–48 hours after the package leaves our warehouse.
• During busy periods, it can take up to 2 business days after the membership extension for the upgrade order to finish processing.
Haven’t seen an upgrade order email yet? 1. Give your inbox (and spam/junk folder) another quick check for a message titled “Your WHOOP Order Confirmation.”
2. Open the WHOOP app → More (tab) → Membership Settings → Upgrade. If an upgrade order is already in place, you’ll see its status there. If no order appears, simply tap Upgrade and follow the prompts—your 5.0 will be added at no extra cost since you’ve already extended.
Once your 5.0 ships, you’ll receive: • A shipment-confirmation email with a tracking link.
• Real-time updates on the same Order-Status page.
