I noticed WHOOP mentions different phases like follicular and luteal. How does it figure out when those start and end for me?
WHOOP estimates your cycle phases using your logged period history, predicted cycle length, and physiological norms. If you’re not using hormonal birth control, WHOOP tracks four phases: Menstrual, Follicular, Ovulatory, and Luteal.
The Menstrual phase starts on day one of your period and lasts through your final bleeding day. The Follicular phase begins when bleeding ends and continues until estimated ovulation. Ovulatory is estimated by counting back 8 to 13 days from your predicted next period. Luteal picks up after ovulation and runs until your next period starts.
The more consistently you log, the more accurate your phase predictions get over time.
