I am tired of the workarounds mentioned here and since there seems to be an activity for almost everything, I wonder why there is no activity for bouldering.

Genuine question. How would you say is bouldering different from rock climbing? Feels to me like if you made seperate categories for short distance and long distance running. I personally have no problem using rock climbing instead of bouldering.
Bouldering tends to focus on short, intense “problems” that demand explosive power, coordination, and strength. So in my opinion it is more a strength based activity
+1 I’ve been commenting on related posts to at least get rock climbing or a new bouldering category added as both a strength activity time on healthspan and even more importantly to take into account “muscular strain”. A hack is to log it is as pilates
