I really like the wireless charger and the animation in the app that it’s charging, it’s very cool. But I was thinking this is first device that in theory I will never take off. I sleep, exercise, shower and charge whilst on the wrist. The band hasn’t left my wrist other than adjusting the size in 3 weeks. So my question, should we be concerned about dirt, bacteria etc getting stuck under the band. After all it’s cloth so I can imagine stores all sorts of junk.
Any thoughts or concerns?

Most of the time, I’ll take mine off in the shower and give it a little wash with soap, and then make sure to rinse it thoroughly.
I also clean it when I switch out my bands.

Perhaps I should at least take off whilst showering but it just struck me that in theory I could actually never take it off. I am sitting here right now and it feels a little itchy..
I wouldnt advise it to never take it off. The band needs a wash otherwise you may start having fungal infections on your wrist.
I have two bands for my 4.0 I wear one for a week (but I alwasy take it off in shower).
Then after a week I wash the first band that I was using with warm water and soap and hang it to dry. While the first band is drying I am wearing second band. After a week I repeat I do the same stuff to swap them.

Thank you, That sounds like a good solution. Like I said never had device that in theory you do not need to remove from the wrist. The bad news, I have the MG and the clasp seems very fragile, easily bends in my opinion, it feels like swapping the whoop in and out will make the clasp inoperative. Think my plan will be to take off when showering and clean daily after showering.
I keep mine on 24/7/365 @AlanGooner. The more data that I can collect on myself… the better. In this world of AI we live in, I want the machines to help me with my health as much as possible in the future. I like wearing the SportsFlex b/c its silicon and doesn’t get wet in the shower (I guess it does technically get wet… but you know what I mean haha).

I wear mine all the time, except for the shower. The main metrics I’m concerned about are strain & recovery. Biological age and rate of aging are nice add-ons, but I suspect the app is ‘still learning’ how to accurately measure these theoretical metrics
