Hi team,
I am in general pretty happy with my new Whoop 5.0 Life - but can’t get the autofill nutrition data to work.
I use FDDB as my source for entering the food I consume incl. water and vitamins. From there it gets synced to Apple Health and from there into Whoop.
When I fill my daily log (either throughout the day or in the evening) it asks me how much protein, carbs etc. I have eaten without auto-filling it.
Is this a bug/known issue or does it syncs just in the morning so that I enter log for the day before?
Thanks a lot and warm regards
Sebastian
I believe I had something similar happen but it eventually sorted it’s self out. In the Journal I checked everything that said Prefilling from Apple Health. The text was blue but eventually went grey and that’s when it started to auto import. One other area to check is make sure you have allowed Whoop to read all categories.
Will try it out, thanks Alan
Only question is, when do you do it?
Somewhere I read that the journal should be filled the next day for the previous day and Whoop reads nutrition data in the morning for the full past day.
Currently I did my journal in the evening for the current day and there no data was filled.
I do the journal throughout the day. So Breakfast, Lunch and Diner time at a minimum. And then when I wake up the next day it opens up automatically and I verify I have done everything. I just ate breakfast, logged into my fitness pal, checked the journal and the data has been imported.
Just one thought, from the journal, if it’s not populated do not be tempted to check yes for say protein, I think at that point it thinks you want to manually enter.
Funny thing, I found this thread and the “fix” worked
You need to activate at least one write permission - I had all deactivated since I use my Apple Watch Ultra for Apple Health and Whoop for it’s own ecosystem.
Now I activated sleep to be written and prioritized Apple Watch data - all worked fine now
Thanks for the help though.
You know what, that’s possibly how I solved it, now I am thinking about it. I turned on Blood Oxygen. I’d say that is a bug, should not have to write to read. Maybe Support will read this and fix.

Thanks for confirmation - in the reddit thread it’s also stated as a bug which is quite some time not fixed - but for me the workaround works nice enough without messing my Apple Health data
Thanks for your help
