Whoop 5.0 gets stuck in the Calibrating/No syncing data very easily

I have this issue after upgrading to 5.0. Its really frustrating as it happens frequently. Even if I unpair/pair again.. it will fix for a moment and then go back to Calibrating. I really hope they fix this asap!

I can understand how frustrating this would be, especially after you’ve already tried unpairing and pairing it again. This can sometimes be tied to how the sensor fits, where it’s placed, or connectivity quirks.

Here are a few things that might help:

  • Make sure your WHOOP is snug on your wrist, sitting about a finger above your wrist bone—no green lights should be visible.
  • Double-check that both your WHOOP app and firmware are fully up to date.
  • Keep Bluetooth on, and make sure WHOOP shows as connected in the app.
  • Try not to switch between phones or devices when syncing. It can throw things off.
  • Let the WHOOP app run in the background to keep syncing smooth.
  • Check your phone’s battery settings and make sure the app isn’t being restricted or put to sleep.
