My new Whoop 5.0 keeps losing its Bluetooth connection. I have to use “Forget Device” and reconnect it twice a day. I never had this issue with my previous Whoop 4.0. All the standard troubleshooting tips didn’t help. I believe the problem lies with the device itself.
If you think the problem is with the device, you should definitely reach out to support@whoop.com. Make sure you’ve tried these steps though…
- Make sure your phone and the WHOOP app are both up to date.
- Forget WHOOP in Bluetooth settings, then re-pair it.
- Restart your phone to reset Bluetooth.
- Put WHOOP in pairing mode: hold the sides and tap the top 'til the lights flash blue.
- Turn off battery optimization/power saving for the WHOOP app so it can run in the background.
- And don’t force close the app… it needs to stay open to stay connected.
Try all that, then reach out to support if you keep having the same issue.
Mine have also disconnected three times total now since I got it. The 4.0 never had any issues.
My whoop has the newest firmware and the app is updated.
Good day, I have been having problems with my whoop pairing via Bluetooth. Last week it didn’t pair for ± 5 days and updated the data when it connected without me doing anything. I have the same problem currently where it hasn’t connected for 2 days. Please can someone assist me with rectification?
Yup my 5MG has done it 4x and just did it again. Need to delete from the BT device list and re-pair it in the app. Battery level at an indicated 75% and using an S25 Ultra w/ SW version S928USQS4BYE4
GRRRR, my 4.0 never did this
Yep, loosing connections and blank spots in my data collection. support are saying it’s my issue as I must be wearing to close to wrist or not tight enough. Same place at the 4 and tight as I can get.. never had an issue with the 4 , something not right with MG.
Same issue and so far not much help from support, just an AI generated response that is available in the app. Never had a single issue with my 4.0
*** UPDATE*** Just did it AGAIN after doing 3x since my last post. I found the quick pattern to reconnect it though. Just delete it from the device list> go to Device Settings in the app and the Samsung native "do you want to pair a WHOOP… " Tellop pops up before you do anything> select YES, I’m back in business again!
Come on WHOOP, please fix the fragile BT connection!
Same thing here. I didn’t have the problem the first few days, but now it’s systematic, every day, without exception. I never had the problem with version 4. It is obvious that there is a general problem, and the Whoop team cannot keep their eyes closed.
Same problems with bluetooth here! never saw this with whoop 4.0
Bluetooth issues when broadcasting heartrate to garmin bike computer
bluetooth issues with the phone app saying it hasnt been updated with the whoop for more than 3 hours. Have to remove the whoop 5.0 in phone bluetooth settings in order for whoop to auto trigger rejoin
Double checked firmware is up to date, and also tried reboot of the whoop through the app
This issue is embarrassingly bad. If my first Whoop had performed like this, I would have quit in the first 30 days and not be on year 4 of my membership. Infuriating that there is no obvious fix and no communication from Whoop on what is clearly a common problem that makes for a horrid user experience.
Bad enough that I’m switching back to 4.0 for now. Hopefully a future firmware update fixes this
Same. I’ve had to re pair mine multiple times a day since receiving it. They sent a replacement. Same problem. Support has been useless, giving random different solutions including today telling me I’m wearing it too far from my wrist bone, that it’s different from the 4 for where to wear it.
My 4 never dropped. There’s definitely something up with the Bluetooth connection with the 5.
I’m at least relieved to see others have the issue. Support says it’s only me!
Same issue here. I’ve been using Whoop 4 for months without a hitch, then upgraded to Whoop 5 MG and it now disconnects daily.
Pattern I see is if I forget it from the phone, remove it from the whoop app and then re-add it, it will work for a few days - no disconnects - until I use the broadcast heart rate on my Garmin computer… then it will randomly disappear again.
I have already contacted Whoop support and had my Whoop5 replaced. New one is doing absolutely the same thing out of the box.
Same here in Gemany. Woke up and was asked to do an update to 50.32.1.0. Afterwads the app was complaining that I am not wearing the device. I do…and I restatrtet and I reconnected several times.
It’s not working. Whoop Team. Move your a… Raising Fees, collecting Upgrade Fees and loosing quality. Is this your new way?
And the promised battery life of 14 days is a lie. No chance. When the sun is shining and is next to a full moon maybe 10 days. Just as a short notice…
