Whoop 5 Peloton Bike Record

My new whoop 5 is not recording my Peloton bike workout even tho the Whoop shows up on the screen as the recording device. it does record my rowing which I do right after the bike. Must be the set up on the bike, but I have checked and it seems correct.

Try this:

  1. Open the WHOOP app and go to More > Device Settings.
  2. Ensure “HR Broadcast” is toggled on.
  3. On the Peloton, tap the wifi logo, select “heart rate monitor,” and confirm WHOOP is connected.

If it’s still not recording, maybe try to update the peloton and whoop firmware… disconnect and reconnect your whoop to your peloton. Since rowing works fine, it’s likely a Peloton setup issue.

Have everything set up right with new 5.0, but it just won’t connect with Peloton. Keep saying couldn’t connect . Frustrating.

I have the same issue. Tried renaming my Whoop, factory resetting my Peloton bike and still no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

I’m having the same issue on my bike, but it connects to both my tread and guide. So frustrating.

Update for the group: This is a known bug that the engineering team is working through. Thanks for surfacing this to us. I’ll reach out when it is fixed.

What is the estimated fix date?

Yes. Just got my whoop 5 and none of your fixes are working. Please let us know when this will be fixed.

I called Peloton support on this (before seeing this thread). My Peloton is trying to connect to my Whoop 5 as an audio device, doesn’t recognize it’s a heart monitor. Peloton support weren’t much help, but they think that the new Whoop 5 device hasn’t been added as a compatible heart rate monitor on their end. Maybe @WHOOP_Team can help?

Frustrating. I cannot get 5 to track my Peloton bike. It tracks the rower. I’ve tried everything. Help?

I just uploaded and update. Hope that fixes my issue: Peloton bike does not record; rower does. Not sure what the problem is but we will see with new version.

So any developments. My 5 says its is connected but does not record ride. Rower ok.

It did not.

Just got the Whoop MG and I can’t get it to connect to my Peloton. Getting a “Couldn’t Connect” error on the Peloton. Tried rebooting the Peloton, turning HR Broadcast on and off etc.

I am experiencing the same issue. When can we expect an update to resolve this issue? Thanks!

Same issue hoping for fix soon

Durkin, thanks for working on this! Can the forum get an update on the fix, please?

Would also appreciate an update, just got mine and it is not working.

Hi gang. I’m sorry for the delay. Quick update here: We’ve connected with the Peloton team, have sent them some 5.0 straps for testing, and are working through this together to get this feature up and running. Thank you for the patience. When it’s up and running, I’ll ping this thread back with an update. Thank you!
