Is this normal Bluetooth behavior, or is there a setting I need to tweak? I’m wondering if distance alone causes it to drop, or if something else is at play.
It’s pretty normal for your whoop strap to disconnect when you move out of Bluetooth range from your phone. Bluetooth generally has a limited range—think 30 feet or so in an open space, but walls and other signals can cut that distance down. Once you step too far away, the connection drops until you’re back within range.
Don’t worry, though: the whoop strap stores your data locally, so you won’t lose any metrics. As soon as you come back into range, it’ll automatically reconnect and sync everything. You don’t usually need to tweak any settings—just keep in mind that if you walk off without your phone, the live connection won’t be maintained.
