Calcium blocker and max heart rate

I currently take a calcium blocker (diltiazem) and lisinopril. Since I have been on these meds I cannot get even close to zone 4-5.
Reading through some articles it seems due to the meds my max heart rate should be around 17% less (142) than it shows in whoop (172). The app will not let me adjust this down any lower than 165.
I also question the fact that Whoop “automatically adjusts” since I have not been even close to these zones during exercise in the past 1 1/2 years since being on the medication.

Why can’t I adjust this down more? Surely I cannot be the only one on these meds (prescribed due to AFIB)

My max HR is 156 and also noticed I couldn’t get to this number at first. What I did was toggle the manual switch on. Change to the lowest number available. Toggle the manual back and let it calculate the ranges again. Then toggle back on and select the lowest again. Keep doing these steps until you get to where 142 is available. Probably a bug but this work around worked for me.

Worked perfectly! Thank you.

You’re Welcome.

Now I do have a favor to ask you. Since you are on Calcium Blockers it is known you can’t possibly go over a certain BPM. I have struggled with high BPM with the Whoop MG compared to other devices. It has claimed I am in the 180’s at times, which I know there is no way. I have been discussion with Support and moved my band around a bit which seems to help.

I would love to know if you see these strange fluctuations.

My fluctuations seem to be on the low side. I actually just sent a note to my doctor to see if I can get a stress test completed, so I can accurately place my max heart rate.
I have a Garmin watch for golf that shows heart rate, I generally only use it for golf and do not turn on the HR tracker. The next time I play (Saturday) I will try to remember to turn it on and then see if there is a major difference.

Mine is related to Cycling activities. I mostly feel during the day and night it’s very good. I am not sure you’ll see the strange highs playing gold but will be interested to see if you do.
