How does this new algorithm improve my sleep tracking compared to the old version?

I want to understand what’s actually better now…like, what did the old algorithm miss that this one catches?

The new Sleep Performance Score is a new percentage based score that now includes:

  • Hours vs. Need: The percentage of sleep you get vs. what your body needs
  • Sleep Consistency: How often you go to bed and wake up at the same time
  • Sleep Efficiency: The ratio of time spent actually sleeping vs. total time in bed
  • Sleep Stress: The level of high physiological stress your body experiences during sleep

WHOOP also now has more attainable bedtime recommendations and a new haptic alarm on WHOOP 5.0 and MG.

Hope this helps!
