Much better on my end! Appears to be similar drain to my 4.0 and I’m happy with that!
Please add me to update list also.
Thats awesome to hear! Glad you all reached out here so we could coordinate a fix for all. The feedback and quick responses here are awesome from you all so thank you!
@KingVonX Essentially the strap was sending more data payloads to the phone at high frequency intervals than we needed. When the phone receives the data over bluetooth (in our case BLE) the phone OS wakes up a WHOOP process in the background to process that data and thereby spends battery on CPU cycles. We have reduced that frequency as it was not needed at such an aggressive interval allowing the phone to sleep more. Hope that helps answer your question. Happy to dive into deeper engineering details if your curious.
We will likely continue a phased rollout of this change over the course of next week.
Hi @grabo172, If you tap “show activity” you will see a non relative view of battery usage on your phone. WHOOP by nature of being always on will often be in your top background usage stats percentage wise due to its capability of staying up to date on your data. This helps us get you insights and coaching in real time. Upon clicking “show activity” you will see hours of usage and that should have come down for you over the last 4-5 days. Can you confirm?
@Heavywaite85 - love the profile name. Appreciate your help and your outreach here! If you click “show activity” it will show you usage in hours vs %. Can you see if over the last 10 days that has changed?
@cceezy Glad you’ve found the community here!
@netlee @zmansky This patch will roll out to everyone soon. Thanks for writing in. Have a great weekend.
So I have only had it since Thursday. I can definitely send you the data after 10 days when I reach that milestone. Does that work
Thank you

@Durkin @bobbyjohansen Can you please help to add mine as well to the list? Battery is getting sucked so fast.
Also when I emailed Support as you suggested but seems some AI replies me.
@siddharthgoel88 This patch will roll out to everyone soon. Thanks for pinging. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Just got the patch! Appreciate the support from the team on Memorial Day weekend!
No, this is enough—my question was purely out of curiosity. Thank you for the helpful answer, I really appreciate it.
If you’re part of the development team, I’d like to share a small observation regarding blood pressure measurement.
During the initial setup and calibration, WHOOP asks us to sit still for 5 minutes, which is absolutely the right approach and I understand the reasoning behind it. However, I believe it may result in inaccurate calibration for WHOOP—and here’s why:
I take mild medication to manage slightly elevated blood pressure, so I’m very familiar with how important it is to monitor and, when necessary, reduce blood pressure with medication. For me, it’s essential to track it regularly, especially because I practice BJJ and my blood pressure often fluctuates significantly during and after training.
What I want to point out is the difference in values between sitting and lying down measurements. Since WHOOP is calibrated while sitting, but performs its regular morning blood pressure readings while lying in bed, I believe this mismatch could lead to inaccurate readings.
It might be worth considering whether calibration should also be done while lying down to better match the conditions under which morning readings are taken
Patch works great for me. No issues anymore, thanks for the quick fix.
Any chance to get this new firmware? I have some events that will keep me away from power for nearly the entire day and I CANNOT be without my phone.
Please add me to the patch release list.
Hey! I am experiencing the same issue, have to charge my phone 3 times a day now… can you also send my the hotfix? Thank you!
Do you have an ETA on when the patch will be rolled out? My iphone feels like is going to explode and the battery is brutally drained
@Durkin @bobbyjohansen can you also add me to the beta update? I am on a 16 Pro Max and since I have the MG my battery life is terrible. Thanks
